Digita, the company behind use.id, attaches great importance to maintaining a confidential relationship between the users and Digita itself. We therefore comply with the provisions relating to the automatic registration of personal data in the Law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy, as amended by the Law of 11 December 1998 and European Directive 95/46 EC. Next to that, Digita complies with the GDPR, The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU).
You can use use.id in various ways: to connect data sources to your use.id identifier, to collect data in your use.id store, to login to third parties with your use.id login method, to share data in your store with third parties and to view what parties you have shared your data with. When you share your data with use.id, for example by creating a use.id profile, we will process this information on your behalf and regard you as the user and subject of the data, over which you need to be able to maintain control. We therefore want to enable you to see at any time what information is used for specific functions, and how you can increase or relax the protection of your privacy.
To this end, Digita uses special security mechanisms and organizational procedures.
Data that we receive
We receive data from you or via the parties that you have requested to store data of. Our general principle is that the data we receive from you is only visible to you yourself and the third parties with whom you share it with.

Clarity and options
People have various concerns about their privacy. It is our goal to be clear about the data we collect so that you can make informed decisions about how your information is used.
Data that we share
We will only share personal information with third parties when you have clearly instructed this via the use.id application (any exception for legal reasons may occur). You understand that, if you share data with a third party, Digita bears no responsibility regarding how the third party processes the data you have shared with that third party.

Scope of application
Our privacy policy applies to all services provided by Digita BV.
Enforcement
Each complaint will be taken seriously and follow up of the complaint will be guaranteed. Compliant with the GDPR regulation, as an individual, you can exercise your rights and freedoms. Digita engages to provide an answer within the legal terms (30 days).
Because you have shared personal data with Digita and use.id, you have a number of rights:
- You have the right to view your personal data
- You have the right to correct your personal data
- You have the right to delete your personal data

The right to file a complaint
If you are not satisfied with our operation, or if you believe that there are irregularities, you always have the right to file a complaint with the data protection authority.
